Description
A creamy homemade Banana Bread Latte with ripe banana, espresso, cinnamon, vanilla, and warm spices. Perfect for breakfast or cozy mornings.
Ingredients
1/2 large ripe banana
2 shots espresso
1 cup whole milk
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1 teaspoon maple syrup (optional)
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg
Pinch sea salt
Whipped cream (optional)
Banana chips for garnish
Caramel drizzle (optional)
Instructions
1. Mash the banana until smooth.
2. Combine banana, milk, brown sugar, maple syrup, vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg and salt in a saucepan.
3. Heat gently for 4 to 5 minutes while stirring.
4. Brew two shots of espresso.
5. Blend the warm banana mixture until smooth and frothy.
6. Divide espresso between two mugs.
7. Pour the banana milk over the espresso.
8. Top with whipped cream, cinnamon, caramel drizzle and banana chips. Serve immediately.
Notes
Use very ripe bananas for the sweetest flavor.
Oat milk works well for a dairy-free version.
Do not boil the milk.
Serve immediately for the best texture.
