Easy Honey Sesame Chicken Recipe featuring crispy chicken coated in a sticky homemade honey sesame sauce. Better than takeout and ready in just 30 minutes.

- 1½ pounds boneless skinless chicken thighs
- 1 cup cornstarch
- ½ cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- Vegetable oil for frying
- ½ cup honey
- ⅓ cup low-sodium soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tablespoon grated fresh ginger
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch mixed with 2 tablespoons water
- 2 tablespoons toasted sesame seeds
- 2 green onions, sliced
Instructions
1. Season chicken with salt and pepper.
2. Mix flour and cornstarch.
3. Dip chicken into beaten eggs.
4. Coat chicken in flour mixture.
5. Heat oil to 350°F.
6. Fry chicken until golden and crispy.
7. Prepare sauce using honey, soy sauce, vinegar, sesame oil, garlic and ginger.
8. Add cornstarch slurry until sauce thickens.
9. Toss fried chicken with sauce.
10. Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions.
11. Serve immediately.
Notes
- Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
- Reheat in an air fryer or oven for best crispiness.
- Freeze fried chicken separately from the sauce for up to 3 months.
