Description
A wholesome Oatmeal Apple Breakfast Bake made with rolled oats, fresh apples, cinnamon, and maple syrup. Perfect for meal prep, family breakfasts, and healthy mornings.
Ingredients
- 2 cups old-fashioned rolled oats
- 1½ tsp baking powder
- 1½ tsp ground cinnamon
- ¼ tsp ground nutmeg
- ¼ tsp salt
- 2 cups milk
- 2 large eggs
- ¼ cup maple syrup or honey
- 2 tbsp melted butter
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 medium apples, peeled and diced
- ¼ cup chopped walnuts or pecans (optional)
- ¼ cup raisins or dried cranberries (optional)
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9×9-inch baking dish.
2. Mix oats, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt in a large bowl.
3. Whisk milk, eggs, maple syrup, butter, and vanilla in another bowl.
4. Combine wet and dry ingredients and fold in apples, nuts, and raisins.
5. Pour mixture into baking dish and spread evenly.
6. Bake for 35 to 40 minutes until golden brown and set.
7. Cool for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
- Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
- Reheat individual servings in the microwave.
- Use plant-based milk for a dairy-free option.
