Ingredients

- 2 cups strawberries
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 1 cup whole milk
- 5 large egg yolks
- 2/3 cup granulated sugar
- Pinch of salt
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 3–4 teaspoons matcha powder
Instructions
1. Cook strawberries with sugar until jammy
2. Blend and strain strawberry mixture
3. Heat milk, sugar and salt in saucepan
4. Whisk matcha into heavy cream
5. Temper egg yolks with warm milk
6. Cook custard to 170°F
7. Strain into matcha cream
8. Chill mixture completely
9. Churn in ice cream maker
10. Layer ice cream with strawberry swirl
11. Freeze for 4 hours before serving
