Description
Sweet Honey Garlic Chicken is a quick and family-friendly dinner featuring tender chicken thighs coated in a rich, sticky honey garlic glaze.
Ingredients
- 2 pounds boneless skinless chicken thighs
- 1/2 cup honey
- 8 garlic cloves, minced
- 1/3 cup low-sodium soy sauce
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons water
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
- 2 green onions, sliced
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
Instructions
1. Pat chicken dry and season with salt, pepper, paprika, and onion powder.
2. Whisk honey, garlic, soy sauce, Dijon mustard, and vinegar in a bowl.
3. Heat olive oil in a skillet and sear chicken 4 to 5 minutes per side.
4. Remove chicken and add butter to the skillet.
5. Pour in honey garlic mixture and stir well.
6. Return chicken to skillet and spoon sauce over pieces.
7. Cover and simmer for 10 to 12 minutes until cooked through.
8. Mix cornstarch and water and add to skillet.
9. Cook until sauce thickens and becomes glossy.
10. Rest chicken for 5 minutes.
11. Garnish with parsley, green onions, and sesame seeds before serving.
