Creamy vanilla ice cream chocolate made with rich custard, real vanilla, and premium chocolate chunks for smooth homemade scoops.
Ingredients

- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1 cup whole milk
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 4 large egg yolks
- 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
- 3/4 cup chocolate chunks
- 1 pinch salt
- 1 tablespoon corn syrup (optional)
Instructions
1. Heat cream, milk, and sugar until sugar dissolves.
2. Whisk egg yolks in a bowl.
3. Temper yolks with warm cream mixture.
4. Return mixture to saucepan and cook until thickened.
5. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla.
6. Chill mixture for at least 4 hours.
7. Churn in ice cream maker until soft-serve consistency.
8. Add chocolate chunks during the last 2 minutes of churning.
9. Transfer to container and freeze 4 hours before serving.
Notes
- Use high-quality vanilla extract for best flavor.
- Add chocolate near the end of churning.
- Store in an airtight container for up to 10 days.
